| this is awful .........:( |

Look what I found on a website that people post wanted/for sale message's :
2. eggs wanted 10/12/06
i am after some parrot eggs as a project to see if i can hatch them.i am after something like macaws or african greys or just let me know what you have a.s.a.p..money waiting
I found this DISGUISTING (sp) to take eggs away from thier mother, deprive the chicks of valuble parenting/nurturing is awful It is one thing to hand rear a chick because it's mother dosn't accept it and you have no other choice but to do so for the sake of an experiment
grrrrrrr I don't understand how some people's brains work if they have one |

But just think, if somebody sent him 30 eggs, they all hatch, it would kill him feeding them every two hours.....
I know this insentive jerk would never follow through with anything, But we can dream can't we....

I honestly don't understand people like this, I may be over reacting but the thought of doing this to such beautiful, intelligent animals who love us unconditionally just really upsets me
I hope someone emails him and tells him what he is doing is wrong.

I agree with you 110%, but it would not do any good to talk to him at all.... I hope somebody sends him a Chicken egg and charges him like it was a Macaw egg, and then I hope it hatches, Then let him try free flight training his Macaw....

You're right, it's awful & very upsetting to read this kind of stuff from people who just don't have a clue.
BUT what would be even more upsetting & awful is if anyone were to actually send him a viable egg That would be cause for hanging!! |

I hope you're not serious. Baby chickens don't deserve to be seperated from their moms any more than baby Macaws. Chickens are intelligent, and beautiful birds and it's a shame that most people only look at them as food
Fact: A chicken and her chic begin to bond a day before the egg hatches. The baby makes peeping noises from inside the shell, and the mom responds in soothing tones

soooooo let me just be the bad guy here... I don't think it's actually THAT cruel to take eggs away from momma birds... A lot of breeders do that if they really do care for their birds. what I mean is that, if a bird starts to lay eggs again while they are not ready from the clutch before, the eggs need to be removed for their well being. so it isn't that bad, and I remove my quail eggs all the time, and to be honest, I don't feel bad about it at all. this is for their own good.
As with the person who made the advert for eggs wanted. I think we are all jumping into conclusion here too quickly that s/he actually knows nothing. who knows, may be he's studying ornithology at uni, or something else different. AFterall all the ad said was he wanted it to try hatching it.
There I had my little input.. and oh I agree with Shirin... if this person really isn't a knowledgable person on birds, then he doesn't even deserves chicken eggs. They are just as nice as the next birds, including the goose/ducks. |

I don't know ... the words "just let me know what you have asap" sounds a little to me like he doesn't have a clue. |

This guy has no idea what is going on, he has done no research and I think all he wants a free or low cost bird. It is this kind of jerk that causes the rescue so many head achs... But I am not worried about him, no one I can think of is going to send him a viable egg of any kind. A good breeder will laugh at the idea, a bad breeder wants the egg to hatch to make more money. So I believe that at the most he will get is a unfurtail egg, and he can sit on it till the cows come as far as I am concerned.....

Well, I don't know about that, I've seen breeders advertise parrot eggs many times. |

Well personally I would never remove eggs unless there was a very good reason and I agree about the chicken thing they are beautiful and do not deserve this any more than a macaw.
