Wysteraya, I would suggest that you get one your new lovebird just as soon as possible when you get it. Because the younger they are when first introduced, the better they're going to accept it. I've heard that a lot of breeders are now getting birds into harnesses & flight suits while they're still weening, which is absolutely great!
Good advice. I plan on having one ready before I get my bird. That way as soon as my bird is used to being in his/her new home, I can start to have it wear the flightsuit/bird diaper. I will let you know how it goes. And if I get my bird to wear it, I'll take pictures!

Sue, is that the same thing as the flight suit, or are there different kinds of birdy diapers? I've never tried them.
You mean the feather tethers? Those are some sort of leashes.. You know..
The flight suits I also know as diapers.. |

I have a flighsuit for my Umbrella. When I got it for him it was just before his third hatchday. He took to it very well. Although he will do almost anything I ask him to so it was very easy to get him used to it. I like the flightsuit and I plan to get one for my new budgie. I would recomend then for anyone with a young bird or a very good tempered bird. |

Great to hear that your umbie didn't make a problem out of it..
Misty wouldn't mind the feather tether (another thing, but also some sort of leash) either.. |

Does anyone have a budgie? If so, do they wear a flight suit/diaper? I'm thinking about getting one for my bugie Perth.I'm just not sure about it yet, I don't want him to become scared of me. |

My bird doesn't have a cage...Or atleast he doesn't use it!
He just walks around the house bombing all the time!
