I'm not sure if its safe to ingest but I have seen it as part of tonnes of bird toys so I assume it can't be to bad. Sorry maybe someone else can be more helpful

Rawhide is great for bird! Apollo has a 40cm rawhide bone on one of his playstand that he bash up every so often and pulls apart when he feels like it.

Although I've heard that many imported ones to the US are not good for bird due to contamination or something along that line. So when you do get it for them, get ones that were produced in America. I'm sure the Australian product is ok as well since Apollo is still here with me. heheh. Smile

I get the rawhide bones etc made for dogs to chew on, they are quite cheap and designed to be eaten although Picasso doesn't seem too interested

I don't think rawhide is a problem. Zazu loves rawhide! Smile
