| Cute parrotlet at the store.. |
|
|
Well we went to the birdy shop today because our little guy was starting to run low on his seeds. As I was walking by the cages there was one little parrotlet left, she jumped to the bars at the front of the cage and said "peep!" at me! So I had to stop and chat to the little cutey She didn't want to come out of the cage and wasn't that thrilled with my finger but she certainly seemed amused by the funny noises I made trying to imitate her She was such a little darling, it made me think of having my own little cute parrotlet one day |

I would love to but we just can't afford it The price of that little princess alone was $US300. I could probably deal with getting a space for her in our home but she is definately too pricey |

I think little parrotlets are just so adorable
At one time, before I brought Jennie into our family, I was very interested in aquiring one, but had a hard time finding a local breeder I'm so happy with how things have turned out in the end tho |

You know Yupra, that's kind of funny, because I was looking today at a parotlet too I went to a petstore to get some new toys for Papug and Booboo. Obviously I took a looong time to look at all the birds there. And there among all the others was this tiny little green parotlet all be himself in a cage. He was so tiny and cute and came right over to me
Oh, it's so tempting to take one home... But at this point I can't take a new bird. |

I love parrotlets!! I am waiting for a yellow parrotlet. It is sooo hard waiting. Over here the price of a regular parrotlet is usually around $170 with the mutations being anywhere from $250-$500. |

Ah thats why she must have been so pricey. She was a sort of pale blue colour, I'm not sure what the proper name is.. I'll go look for it.
Papug, I'm glad I'm not the only one who knows how hard it is to walk away from those little cuties!! I noticed my husband (who also likes birds) is more drawn to the bigger guys like amazons, he wasn't as rapt as I was with the little parrotlet, I wonder what draws me to those little sweetpeas? I always go over to chat to them if they're there at the store |

the parrotlets are so cute. It's a pity we can't have them as pets here. they are none in existence here in Western Australia as far as I know. |

Aww I didn't know that.. I bet you though that if there were some you'd be snapping them up like you do with your bugdies The picture I found doesn't do justice to her beauty.. |

hehehe.. well yeah, I would imagine that they cost a lot more than just being able to 'snatch' them up... may be if I know a breeder friend or something like the budgies.. hehehe.
They are gorgeous little thing... but just going a bit off track... the prettiest little parrots I've ever laid eye on is the blue crowned hanging parrots.. they are soooo gorgeous!!! |
