I named my blue parrotlet! I'm calling her Sapphire because she is beautiful like one and she's my little blue angel.
Now that I've had her a few days, her personality is starting to emerge. She is playful, curious, and intelligent...And SHE LOVES ME! Whenever I come home, she runs around her cage back and forth peeping her little heart out which I then translate to "MAMA! HEY! LEMME OUT! MAAAMMMA LEEMME OUT!" It's amazing how she just JUMPS on my hand when I open the door every time! My other two parrotlets, Lyra and Zaye want nothing but to STAY in their cage and play with each other and I have to chase them to get them to step up. So, Sapphire's personality has blown me out of the water because I was so used to Zaye and Lyra. It's funny because if I put Sapphire on my Fiance, if I'm next at him, little Sapphire comes and makes her way over to me. She also sleeps under my chin and puts her little head on her back, all cutely fluffed up...And when it's bed time, she never wants to go to bed because she wants to sleep on me! I think she thinks that she is a human...
I love her to bits and I'm going to enjoy having her in my life for the next 30 or so years. I'll bet she'll learn to talk real well too. Parrotlets really do have big personalities, even my green pair, which aren't as fond of humans have big personalities that I love to watch.

what a gorgeous little darling!! I just love her name!!  what a cutie.. sounds like she's the perfect little angel. can't wait to see more pics of the little ones. |

That Sapphire sounds like quite a character Your description kind of reminds me of my lovebird Booboo who does exactly the same things! |
