hi there!!
I have a little White Cap Pi that goes by the name of Aiden
honestly...he and the 'Tiels are the easiest as far as being needy....
from all the Pi's I've met Pionuses have got to be one of my favorites. They're very layed back and relaxed...unlike Conures, who are more "in your face" same with the larger species of birds.
I guess I'm biased...lol....but I'd reccommend a Pi to anyone looking for that particular size of bird.... |

I agree with Lynzi... I had a beautiful Pionus girl who is over the 'rainbow bridge' now. In general, Pionus are one of the easiest parrots to take care of and deal with. Much more independent and easy going than other birds of it's size or even smaller.
I know you wanted to know about several species you've mentioned about how demanding they are... well, although some parrot species are naturally more demanding than others, they will all for the most part get used to the schedule you give them, and learn what is expected of them in terms of how much they will come to expect to see and play with you. You as the owner play a big role in HOW demanding or independent a bird becomes!
If you don't mind a bird a little bigger than the others you mentioned, a Pionus is going to be the easiest one to keep I believe. The females are especially gentle. They are also some of the most affordable parrots.
