I had never noticed his blue eyes. I just went and looked and sure enough they're blue. Is it rare then?

From what I understand, it's
un-common
for their eyes to remain blue after a certain age. Most turn yellow within the first year, or so. Jennies turned yellow when she was between 9 & 10 months old. |

Most eyes will continue to change to the yellow color. Some Sennies, like Mesa's Focker have blue eyes. |

Focker will be 2 in March and YES his eyes are still blue ! ... from what I have been told blue eyed sennies are rare, especially in Canada ... when we bought him I had no idea what the breeder mean't when she told me that he was a blue eyed sennie ... I thought, okay his eyes are blue, until she told me that most sennie's eyes will turn yellow as they mature ... well, what can I say, I fell in love with those devilish blue eyes of his ... NOW, here is something for all you sennie owners to ponder over .... Fockers parents both have yellow eyes and yet for some reason they throw blue eyed offspring ! ... according to the breeder this breeding pair of yellow eyed sennies have NEVER produced yellow eyed offspring ... all offspring from this pair have blue eyes ! ... any comments |

thanks Cathy .... I'm not sure but I think the breeder retired Fockers parents after the last clutch they had ... if you are serious about wanting her name, I will find out if she is still using Fockers parents, and then give you her name .. she is located in Canada ...and thanks again, for saying Focker is beautiful, although he is still a little demon .... about 2 weeks before Christmas, I tried teaching him to say Merry Christmas ... well, as luck would have it he didn't say it, until just this past week ... now, I get greeted every morning with " MERRY CHRISTMAS BIG A** " ... he's the one that decided to add the " BIG A** " to it * .... |

He really is a little demon with the naughty words, isn't he
Bless the angelic side of his heart tho for picking up on the Merry Christmas part! That's great! He'll know it for next year! It's gotta be just adorable to hear him talk, I bet he just keeps you in stitches laughing !!
Thanks, I sure wish I could bring home another little sennie, but hubby isn't about to let that happen |

demon isn't the word for him ! ... he keeps me going non stop all day long ... and you are right about his talking, it does keep me in stitches ... I sometimes wonder if he knows what he is saying ... when he is bad and I put him in his cage I always say to him, YOU CAN JUST SIT THERE AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DID and then he says I'M SORRY and I say NO YOU AREN'T ... as soon as I turn my back to walk away he yells at the top of his lungs BIG A** ... and of course, I burst out laughing ... just before Christmas we had a customer come in to pick up an order and Focker was playing on his playstand in the kitchen ... as the customer was getting ready to leave Focker sat there watching her, tipping his head back and forth as she was bent over putting her shoes on, all he could see was her butt ... as soon as she stood up he yelled at the top of his lungs
" BIG A** " ... whoever said that sennies were quiet, never met Focker, cause he sure as heck isn't ... he is loud and his voice isn't quiet at all ... I can't wait to hear what he will say next because every day around here is one surprise after another ! |

OMG, that is SO funny !! I wish I could hear him! I've never heard a sennie talk
Jennie has a little, gravelly, kind of duck sounded voice, but she hasn't talk, I sure wish she would, I'd love to hear her, but to tell the truth, I'm kind of scared to hear what come out of her mouth too |

that is so cute about Jennie's voice .. Fockers brother Darwin has a very soft gravelly kind of squeaky voice ... whereas Focker, is totally opposite ...his voice is loud and his words are very clear ... we have a dog named Boogie, and my husband taught Focker to say WHERES BOOGIE ... I just love the way he says Boogie and when he does say it, if you don't answer he will yell it louder and louder until you do answer him ... he went through a phase where he was saying YOU HEARD ME which was hilarious ... he still says that from time to time, but his favourite is BIG A** and
A**HOLE ... he also says BIRDIE BIRDIE BIRDIE and on the last BIRDIE he will drag it out and his voice will get louder and louder .... if I can find a way to record him talking, I will and put it up on his homepage or diary so you can hear him .... he's been keeping me so busy lately, terrible 2's are fast approaching that I haven't been able to update his homepage, but when I do, look out ... |

that's so cool about their eyes!!!
I really didn't know that about Sennies!!!
hmm...ya learn something new every day!!
and Focker sure sounds like quite the character........
it's great how they use their phrases in the correct context....it amazes me.
I'll tell Oskar....
"come on now...step up"
and if he's in a bad mood....he says "no stupid!"....
or if he's in a good mood....he says "Kay!!....can I have a kiss?"
birds I tell ya.......
but I'm always afraid that someone from the church will be over...and Oskar will say something naughty....
he knows everything in the book...
there were once Missionaries over at our house and he was upstairs...and he saw me stub me toe...and yelled as loud as he possibly could
"S**T!!!!!"
I blushed so badly!
