Sue! How did I miss this topic for so long
Jennie is doing great, thank you for asking! She's just settled in real good & once she learned that it's not very nice to try to bite my finger off, we get along fantastic & she's just been a real joy!
I love watching her playfullness & to hear her cute little noises
I don't think she'll ever be a little cuddler, or snuggler, becuz to tell the truth, I'm afraid to snuggle with her! But that's OK! She's really very sweet & loves to be held & scritched |

Hey Cathy! Glad you found this topic. If you wouldn't have answered, I'd just be asking again..
Great to hear that you get along soooo very well once she learned that that biting thingy wouldn't bring her any good..
Cathy, if I'm correct, Iago wasn't much of a cuddly bird before he was at some age. I think 1,5 years? He'd always think that he was too old for mommy's cuddles but now he enjoys it every now and then.. |

Awww Cathy, that's great to hear that Jennie is doing so well with you now. I'm glad that she's come such a long way from when you first got her!! |

You know, it really is amazing to me becuz she was the first one of my fids to bond with me from her babyhood, even tho she wasn't just a newborn, still very young. So I really do feel a special closeness.
Thanks |

Yeah, it's kind of special when you got them at such young age isn't it? I don't mean that you can't bond with older birds (certainly NOT!) but this is very special..
It's also very nice that you just go up the line.. (Hope this makes sense?) |

I know what you mean Sue. Like with Jennie, she was so ornery when she first came here & watching her personality just change & improve so much ... it was almost like I got to watch her become a happy bird, which makes me happy.
where as Manu was a year old & just needed time to get used to me, but he was already such a love |

Yeah, that change must be pretty amazing to experience..
And it gives you a 'boost' as well: She wouldn't change to be such a great personality without your great care.. |

Awww.. I'm glad you have such a close bond with Jennie, and naturally that's what would happen when you get them when they are very young!! I know what you mean by that special bond you have with Jennie.... I got Apollo when he was 3 months old.. and boy did I bond with him quick when he started begging for feeding!! LOL... Though I did watch this social little guy turn into the most antisocial bird around!!! LOL... It should be the other way around!! LOL.. Oh well. I hope Jennie is going to turn out like little Iago who just love everyone!!! |

Oh I hope so too Bih! But, I don't know ... everyone else is rather afraid of her since I carried on so much about her biting when she first got here |
