Pickles is one step closer to getting those wings clipped!! He has lately decided that my bakers rack and everything on it is his. Yesterday he proceeded to knock off all the knick knacks, candles, etc. I had on it and make a nice disaster area while I was busy in the other room. But as I was heading for the scissors he flew to my shoulder and gave me a big kissing noise and said "love you Pickles". Decided it was my fault anyway for leaving him unattended. So he gets one more chance.

awww, pickles sounds too cute! You should read the "it's a bird's life" thing, it has stuff about how the bird owns everything the person has: http://www.exoticbird.com/birdlife.html |

What a funny but true story, The Birds Life. It is true that birds want anything and everything that we as owners have. I can give Pepper the exact same treat I'm eating but she thinks what I have is better and wants it too.
and yes you find poop everywhere that your bird has been. there's nothing like a warm mushy pooper between your toes.
I find that having my birds wings clipped makes them depend on you more for liftups and help with stuff. when my tiel Maxi's wings grow in and he can fly, he becomes very obstinate and demanding. we call a trip to the vet for wings/nails clipping, a birdie attitude adjustment. |
