LOL Julie.. I think it's more of a cockatoo thing!!! Apollo sounds exactly like Goffey!! He gets all excited and waving his wings around in the air when he talks up a storm, and also all the doors that can be opened needs to be padlocked!! See my vids for the escape artist on his main cage's door. |

I was told that the best toys for Goffey would be the big plastic or wooden nuts and bolts you can get from the Early Learning Centre as they like anything mechanical that comes apart, if anything needs to be constructed he's right in there watching a closely as he can and trying to grab screwdrivers and spanners or whatever were using. |

haha, Julie have you seen one of my latest new diary page with the new cage?? Apollo is right in there too!! LOL
Although Imust say that Goffins ARE known as the escape artist of the cockatoo world.. guess Apollo just doesn't realised that he's a corella, not a goffins... LOL
Cathy, you're right, Macaws do get into the padlocks and things. |

Corellas do look a lot similar to Goffins except for the beak perhaps their brain power is the same. I just love the way parrots are so mischievious although it does have disadvantages, especially when they strip wallpaper when you've just decorated. When you talk to other people who don't have parrots they don't seem to get it, until they visit and then they find them fascinating. |

Yes my SweetPepper makes the RRRRRR sound also. she uses it when happy, content and snuggling with me. She also talks using deep gutteral sounds. She has also learned to speak cockatiel from my 2 tiels. At times you can't tell if its Pepper yelling or Maxi the tiel yelling. Kacey is a very quiet tiel. Does any ones sennie growl? Pepper also makes a growling sound when she is not happy or scared or warning you. Kind of like the hissing that tiels will do. Sometimes I'll do something to get her to growl because it sounds so cool . The different sounds a senegal makes is really interesting and fun to listen to. Some screeching sounds I call her jungle sounds that she does, they are scary sounds. |

my sennie makes many noises. I like his chicken noise (buk buk buk). My favorite is his woo noise. I think he might make the rrrrrr sound, but I'm not sure..he likes to mew and laugh though! He woos when he's happy. |
