Trying to teach Uri a new whistle  Reply with quote

Now I can't really whistle. I know.....I'm 28 years old and I can't whistle. Not very loud, at least......it's sad.

But Jeremy can pretty well and he's trying to teach Uri a new one. Uri can wolf whistle and we are working on the 'Charge' one now!

If you don't know what I mean, here is a 'tiel doing it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJnzzE92SjA He does it at the end.

It's so dang cute listening to him try to figure it out! Jer and I were just lauging yesterday with Uri on his cage and then on his playstand trying to copy the sounds. He's getting there and when he does, I'll get video of him!

Even though Jeremy can't hold him much, he is having fun with him! Uri still prefers me over Jer. But Jer likes to whistle back and forth with him.

That tiels "charge" whistle is so cute Very Happy
My tiel Poppy is definitely the whistler in my family!

You know, I've got a family friend that has a sennie & even tho the lady hubby doesn't have a lot to do with the bird, he is definitely the one who has taught that sennie to talk.

I can't wait to hear once Uri gets it down & you record it! Course, it's always fun to hear them learning too Wink

I have a vid of a tiel whistling Andy Griffith (sp) to a sock!

I bet Uri will master the whistle soon!
