My name is Rosie

I am a Eclectus Parrot

Sunday April 20, 2008 is the day I hatched out

I was adopted on Saturday July 5, 2008

The things that I eat (my likes & dislikes):

She loves everything, (what a piggy) I fix her every morning and night chopped veggies and fruit. She eats like a little pig. I give her some treats sometimes, and she loves sprey mellot.

What does my house (cage) look like:

She has a very large cage, with lots of toys. She loves her swing very much. She has different size branches to stretch her feet on.

My personality can be described as:

We are just learning her personality, she is getting better at not biting. She does have a problem with flying away. Her wings are clipped, but you can only hold her for a second and she will fly off your hand. I go and pick her back up and tell her no but she will fly off again. She will not stay on her tree, she just flys off. When you hold her she will not look at you, she looks around you to see where she can fly to. I do not know yet how to break her from this. She knows how to step up, she has to think about it for a few minutes. When you open her cage she will fly out.

The toys I have (my likes and dislikes):

She is not afraid of anything, so she will play with everything. She has all kinds of toys, already spoiled.

The sounds that I make (and the words I speak):

She makes a lot of sounds, she trys to sound like her friend an umbrella who sounds like he's talking chinese. I thought one day I heard her say hello. She coos a lot and chirps.

Something special about me:

Well ! we are still learning a lot about her, I would say she is very stubborn. But I would have to say she is so beautiful, and I believe one day she will allow us to hold her without flying away.
