Ha! A toy box full! I have to be careful with toy introduction as she didn't have them before I adopted her. Right now she's keen on her "wicker" ball toys, a hanging toy that has preening ropes, beads and wooden blocks wrapped up in paper to look like candy, and a cute little saftey pin shaped toy with a bell and little acrylic pacifiers hanging down. She also likes bits of paper to rip up and her corner cozy that she sleeps next to. There are a couple of toys in there that she tolerates but doesn't seem to play with.
She also has a "toy box" in her cage. It's just an extra feeding cup, but I put paper balls in there, other foot toys and occasionally I'll hide a treat or two. She's catching on and now checks her toy box for new things!
I bought her a preening toy made of peacock feathers and she was terrified of it! I think the spots on it looked like big eyes to her. Needless to say, it's no longer in there. |
