My name is Piccollo
I am a Senegal Parrot
I am male
I am left pawed
I don't know my hatchday
I was adopted on Saturday January 12, 2008

The things that I eat (my likes & dislikes):

I would be just fine eating pudding all day long.. that's my mommy's name for seed, since she says I should eat my veggies first   TYPICAL

My favourite snacks are raisins, and any type of big nuts.

Also, I sometimes get a sip from Mom's cooldrink, and I would manage to sit on the glass and take the sip myself.  However, so far I couldn't manage to get anything from that coffee mug.  I WISH I could just figure out what is so interesting in there!!!  Don't worry though - I'll keep trying

What does my house (cage) look like:

I live with my mom in a veeeery small flat.  I've got a lovely cage with beautiful toys (or maybe not so beautiful anymore, hahaha).  Mom tries to confuse me by sometimes taking some of the toys away and giving me new ones.  Her idea is obviously to make the old ones magically reappear after a while so I don't get borred with them.  YEAH RIGHT.  As if I can't see through that!!  LOL

My personality can be described as:

Oh I'm SUCH an adorable little bugger!

I'm having different moods every day because I'm still very young and need to discover everything about myself, my mom and everything else.  So sometimes I would be very cuddly and chirpy in the morning and continue this mood all day long, while on other days I will keep my whistles to myself.

I TOLERATE my cage.  Yes.  But that's as far as it goes!  Whenever Mom's home, I refuse to stay in it any longer.  Then I like to play on the dinner table or sit on her shoulders or maybe play outside for a while - with proper supervision from Mom's side, of course.  Also very typical, haha

The toys I have (my likes and dislikes):

You mean, like, other that TOES???  Or MOM'S JEWELLERY??!!!

I'm telling you, I can spend HOURS trying to reach Mom's toes and get a nibble at them.. and I would never, EVER miss a chance to get hold of a forgotten (or her part) ear ring!!

Also, let me introduce you to THE most fun game EVER - it's very simple:  take a very basic object (a pen works for me).  Try and look absolutely fascinated by it, dragging it little by little across the table until you reach the edge.  Now sit there by the edge of the table and play with the pen for as long as necessary.  Sooner than you think, Mom will start thinking that you're having proper fun now and she can get up and do house chores.  JUST as she gets up, push the pen over the edge off the table.  And make HER pick it up for you!  Continuing in this fashion guarantees you endless fun!!  Just repeat the procedure, over and over again.  It's hilarious to watch someone pick up a pen over and over again.  Just for you!!

Now, going on to more serious games....  I've got some nice wooden toys with all sorts of keys and other grown-up-stuff that my mom has attached there for me to play with.  She likes to "customise" all my toys to try and make it more interesting for me.  I like it!    I've also got some homemade toys.  They are normally fun to play with, since they are very original, and obviously there are many flaws in them, which result in me being able to take them apart - something that I'm MARVELLOUSLY good at!!!

The sounds that I make (and the words I speak):

As I said, I'm still a very young parrot and cannot yet say any words.  Neither can I whistle properly yet, but that's getting better every day.  Mom's taught me a few basic whistle tunes, and I'm practising on them while she's away (at least, she tells me I should - I won't say just how much I actually do practice..!).

I also make a lot of baby noises, which sound very qute.  Can't wait till I can talk!  Will be sooo much fun!!!

Something special about me:

Mom has started to try and train me a little bit.  This is normally a fun thing for me to do.  But we (or she) don't have that much time for formal training, so it's going rather slowly.  But I'm learning the Turnaround as well as the Wave and Hand-shake at the moment.  In future, I may be able to actually DO these as well as some more tricks.  So WATCH THIS SPACE!! Hehe..

Thanks for reading up about me!  It was a HUGE pleasure to introduce myself to you!  As soon as Mom gets her act together, I'll also put up more photos of myself on my homepage...  In the meantime, you'll just have to take my (and Mom's) word that I'm a complete Beaut with loads of playfulness.

And with that, I'm off.  Looooots of love to ya!!
