Cute names haha Laughing How long do Chickens live? I don't think I could bring myself to have a pet chicken, since I love to eat chicken! That would remind me of my pet as I was eating Confused

I guess chooks are chickens in Aussie slang? Smile One guy on an Australian forum I am on has a bird named Chookie, and I figured it meant something to Aussies Laughing
Also, being on this international forum and the Australian forums, I noticed that countries with British influence say the word "cheeky" quite often... we don't have that word in the US Neutral

Nope... we don't say cheeky. I hadn't ever heard it used over here. Maybe I'll start saying it and watching people's reactions Laughing

Hmm... don't know. I'll have to think about that one Laughing

When I'm at the county fair this year, I will look at the chickens and use some new words, like "aww, what a cheeky chook!" and see if anyone around knows what that is Laughing
