They hatched!!  Reply with quote

Well my Mama's third clutch hatched this morning.. Almost lost one as I found it 'dead' again... grrrr what's with those little things wondering away from mommy's brooding warmth!! Anyway, I saved this little one and now he's back safely with Mama... Smile
Looks like three out of this clutch again, which is fine by me.. the other five eggs seems to be duds, but I'm happy with that I don't have to worry about havin too many babies!!! LOL..

Pics to come later when I get back from work. Smile

So I came home, still only three little ones, which is good for me. Very Happy BUT I found one almost dead!!! AGAIN!!! Grrrr.... except the different is this time it was because either the mommy or daddy had pecked at the head and the back, it was bleeding but not too bad, but it was definitely cold!! Soooooo I brought it inside and now it's sitting in a shoebox by itself calling out to the others. I'm just tooo scare to put this little one back inside for the fear that it'll get pecked again!

Photos to follow still got them, but I haven't resized them, and I've got a dinner date with my family. Very Happy Sooo gotta wait.. but here's one for the tastebuds... Very Happy

It looks the same as the other ones I've posted doesn't it?!?!?! May be I should just refer back to the other ones for pics... they look the same!!! LOL I need other colours!!

Oh I'm sure the one that was pecked was the one I saved this morning, very sure of it... It must be something to do with the fact that I removed the baby and put it back?!?! I dont know, but both Mama and Papa are very sweet to the other two babies in there...

Awwww, such a cute little thing! Is that photo of the one that was pecked?
It's probably best that you leave it in, maybe there's something wrong with it that Mama don't think it should live for some reason?
Hope it does well!

Sue, photos are coming, working on them... Very Happy

Cathy, no, the photo is of another baby that I took photo of this morning, before anyone got pecked, but it isn't the one that was pecked.
I am keeping him indoor, but not sure how he'll cope with being there by himself. He's been calling all evening and all night and has only settle down I think it's just over exhausted!! Poor thing... Sad

KellyAnne, they feel like soft fur on them too!! Sooooo silky!

Shirin.. yes the beak is sooo tiny!! As with Hen's laying eggs.. well it does depends on the mum...My hen first started laying eggs back in early February, and it's the middle of May, and this is her third clutch!!! Soooo probably average about six weeks per clutch!!! EEEEEKKKKK!!!!!
