QB is ajusting very well with us. This Sunday will be 2 weeks since he/she was given to me.(is there a way to tell male or female) Such a sweet bird. One thing tho it is jelous of me when I want to give a kiss or handle my other birds. I have to get each one and handle it for a time then put that one back and get the other one out.
This little bird likes to nuzzel on my chin and makes a purring sound Newbe my sun doesn't make that sound.
I haven't had the screaming that the last owner said she had with the bird. I think QB was just lonesome.
Im gonna catch up on this group so that maybe I can learn something about these wonderful little birds dana |

congrats on your new baby Dana. QB sounds like a wonderful bird! Very luckyto have you found a great home now.
I am sorry that I can't really help you with the quaker questions, but I wish you luck and hope everything will turn out fine with the jealousy issue.
Take care |

I'm glad that QB is doing so well and is happy in his home now. I do not believe there is a way to visually sex Quakers. I believe they also need to be DNA'd to be sure.
I also do no know much about them. I have a friend who has one, and he's quite the character! Jealous as well I'm sure he's just enjoying the change in attention and once he figures out that it's not an 'abnormal' thing, hopefully he'll settle down with that Grats again! |

Thanks for the post fluffie friends QB is doing fine. I sure wish he wasn't jelous tho. It would be nice if I could have all my birds out at the same time. I have to play with one at a time. If I take and kiss on Newbe then QB gets upset, and the same way with Newbe with I touch QB. I have to say that Romeo doesn't really mind about either one of them tho, he just kind of waits his turn.
I hear a kind of purring from QB does anyone know wht that is? I guess I could find a quaker group and maybe someone on there could tell me a little more about them hua? he / she also seems to be a little braver as far as not taking much time to approch new things. Newbe stays back a while before he will play with anything new. Romeo wants me to eat it or touch it first before he will Any info will be appreciated, thanks. dana |

Congrats on QB's homecoming. What a name, is it some sort of abbreviation?

Hey Sue, I haven't got any pics yet but I need to do that soon. He/she already had the name I think it's just a abbrevation for quaker bird, I do know it's the sweetest little thing except for being jelous of me when I Im kissing Newbe. I gotta go run check Romeo he's crying... He's ok just mocking me when I tell him Im gonna cry my eyes out: Oh ohhhhh, poor baby don't cry. And I'll have to send the pics to you cause I never have figured that out yet On my way to work I'll catch up later... dana |
