Welcome to the Quaker Parrot forum. The place to talk 100% Monk. Quaker Parrots are wonderful little devils. And, I mean that. They are very silly little birds that love attention from "ONE" individual. Quakers (Like my Zeta) can become very jelouse and extremely territorial of their space and other birds space. From what I have learned, its not always 100% that a QP would take to a new bird, flock member. Zeta has become friends to Snoopy my Tiel, but I now have to separate them, as Zeta is starting to feather pluck Snoopy. These birds really do good on there own with a human. I would not even get another QP. My friend Lisa Rizzo from 8 beaks toys said that her QP Tobee was killed by her other Quakers. So, these birds really are different from other birds. They are closely related to the Amazon Parrot. Personalty wise, they are very similar. All a QP needs is a good loving and strung parront. And, they will be happy forever.

Hi there Lisa!
I hope you'll have fun talking to other quaker parrot enthusiasts. I am sure there are a lot of them out there!
I'll pop in from time to time here, to read about Zeta.. She is just wonderful, though I haven't actually met her. |
