Homepage H-E-L-P!!!!  Reply with quote

I just tried to make a homepage, but all I have figured out was how to add the photos... I can't seem to find how to make the photos go on the page in a certain order. When you upload a pic, it just seems to go in a certain spot on the page, not necessarily where I wanted them... any way to control that?
I will attempt to figure out adding the text later when I get time... sorry, I know it isn't rocket science lol!!

Thanks! Julie

Thanks Haley, I will try that.... also, do you or does anyone out there know why... when I'm editing my page, the text is centered and the background black (how I want it), but when I view the homepage on the internet as others would, the background is white, and the text is not centered nicely... in other words, not how I want it to be viewed.

Thanks! Julie

Hi there! I'm sorry for my late response.
Try it with a table, and make the table invisible. Wink

By the way, your page has a high 'jealousy' rate. Laughing
Your flock is just awesome!! I'm really looking forward seeing more photos.

Shall I try to make the background black for you?

Julie, I took the liberty of making the background black.
Did you choose the middle button? With that button you make the background of the text black.

I found the problem with the alignment: You used the 'header 1'.. When you do that, the page somehow cannot align the text and photos properly.
I changed the text to 'normal' instead of 'header 1' and 'header 2'

Hi Fluffy Sue, thank you so much!! Yes... I wanted it to appear black to the viewing audience! I did use the middle button, and it is black on the edit mode.

Thanks a lot! Julie

Awww!! Thanks! Embarassed I see the high jealousy rate of having the Major Mitchell's cockatoo! Laughing They are insanely expensive here in the US... and have the "ooohhh" factor! Several thousand more than most larger parrots! Are they among the higher priced in Europe too?

Julie: The tables aren't necessary. I found the problem: The headers. Mad I think it's a problem (bug) with the editor we use.

I just found out.. I didn't know either. I looked at the source to see if there was a pattern..
