|
|
I went to my homepage, read the rules, and clicked yes. I made the background lime green and uploaded a picture. I thought I tried again still not picure. I guess I dont know what I am doing. I read the instructions. Please help me. I saved the picture in photoshop as a jpeg. Maybe it is to large. Do you know how to shrink it to the correct size.
Thanks for your help

Hi Debi, what type of system are you using and the program you are using to resize your photo if you are having too much trouble then you can alway's send the photo to me and l can resize the photo at 100 kb's then send it back to you, to post if you like.Anyway for starters right click the photo and go to properties and you will see the size in k'bytes. Then depending on your program resize the photo.Try starting at 800 x 600 in size, then check the properties and tell me what it say's. |

Just out of curiousity... What internet connection do you have? and how long did you wait for it to upload? The reason why I ask is that sometimes even with my broadband connection it can take a bit for it to upload. I'm not saying that you didn't wait for it or anything. But just thought I'd ask. |

I appreciate both of you helping me out with this. I am usually ok with photos but I have a long way to go.
My computer is about 2 year old and runs windows xp. We just had it reformated by my nephew who works for his dads software company. I worked on it for about 5 hours this morning, and have a rough draft. I am wondering about how many pictures will fit, I guess the question is how much space is allowed per homepage. Can you branch off like one for outings, one for baths, rides in car etc. or is it the space seen when you first open it. I have like 6 pictures and when I closed the windows information on the right side I found that the area is larger than I thought. I have learned some about homepages and web sites but this is my first attempt. I have not done one with html.
Thanks again.

Hey Deb,
If you have a look in my homepage, you'll see that it has lots and lots of photos!!! And I do mean lots!! If you want to have seperate entries for the different events and stuff, you can activate you own diary pages!! It should be on the side panel/frame that says 'my diary' after you've logged in of course.
Good luck with it.
Cheers

"Branching of" would require a dairy page, no different to a hompage in using except you have branches you can use to show different segments. I too am running XP but use a program plug-in called ACDSEE to resize my photo's which is quick and simple to use.You can download ACDSEE for a trial period on thier site to see what l mean.Glad to help with any more info |

How strange to hear this.. How large is the photo? (Kb)
The amount of space is unlimited..
Only the size is limited. (Of photos etc)
You can branch off with a diary page.. Have you seen it? It works the same as making a homepage.. |

I am not very smart when it comes to web pages. I dont know why because I have my programming certificate. I don't think in the abstract at all. But I am going to try with the diary. It will be fun. I liked putting the few pictures on my homepage that I did. I guess practice makes perfect. |
