I'm sadden to see that I no longer can catch up on my posting in one night after reading that you are limiting the # of post for a certain amount of time Crying or Very sad . Most of the time I catch up when I come home from work on all the post that interest me, now I won't be able to do that. Sad How many are we allowed now? Confused I guess I missed that post Rolling Eyes Dana

Crying or Very sad I was trying to catch up on what all had been written since I was last on. First time I had ever seen the message so i thought yall had a new rule while I've been gone? Hey Dana,

I had that trouble too once, but I haven't had it since, that was like two weeks ago or something. Can't really remember when. Not sure what to make of it. May be Sue can shed some light on that. Smile

Ohhh Dana. Now I understand, thanks for explaining it!

That's not a rule, it's the system.. You can wait for a minute or so & then try to post again. Then it SHOULD work..

Please let me know if this is not the case! Smile

Ok. Well wish us luck we are in for a bad storm this weekend. I have to go to work on Monday so I hope there isn't too much damage done. Last time we packed up everything and we went over to my dads but this time we are staying here, hope the trailer holds up to the winds. I'v done what I could to protect the birds outside and the birds inside will be with me this time so maybe it won't be too stressful on them. Rolling Eyes Dana

Made it through the storm , just some high winds and rain. Lost power for 2 days but it's back on now. All the outside birds made it thank goodness. My one duck pen got tore up but we will rebuild it this weekend. Very Happy Dana

Dana, so good to hear that you're ok.. The only thing 'bad' is the duck pen that you lost.. But that's material.. Luckily your birds were spared.. Smile

Yes we were very lucky because Navarre and Pensacola are only 90 miles west of us and they are the ones who got hit the hardest.

I use to worry about packing up "things" but now that I'm older i don't worry about those things. I do take a large photo album that I made of every picture of my mother in it that I own. i figure that some of those pics are 1 of a kind and can't be replaced. I lost her once I won't lose her again. We I get to missing her all I have to do is sit down with this album and look through it and remember all the wonderful times we had when she was here. Smile

I have $10,000 of swarovski crystal that I collect but I don't take it anymore. I pay extra to make sure it is covered in my insurance policy so I'm not packing it up anymore. I kept all the boxes for every piece and let me tell you it is a pain to pack it then to un pack it (have to wipe the finger prints off each piece when I put it back) Mad some reason those "things" aren't as importand to me as they use to be. Matter of fact I really need to sale that whole collection. When I'm gone there is no one to leave it to anyway Rolling Eyes My husband bought the pieces for me and he has already said if something happens to me he would just sale it...so....

Yep, just packed up the 2 dogs and the campanion birds along with their cages (hauled them on a small trailer). I told dad the next time I could just take their smaller cages that I have out in the shed it would make it easier. I just hate for them not to have something that is familier to them. They did pretty good except for Newbe my sun, he isn't happy if Im not with him and I was over at the nursing home sitting with one of the residents who was pretty upset from 9-4. I had to go one over becasue we were told that if we didn't show up on Monday we were out of a job. So I went thinking I might have to stay like last year when Ivan hit. But we got to leave at 6pm so that was real good. I go back to work today after my vacation so it's gonna be a hard week Mad

Good to be back with you all...Dana Very Happy

Dana, photos are irreplacible aren't they? I also keep photos safe..
Photos are like a story of your life or your beloved ones.. Special, always..

I can understand it's a pain to get the prints off the crystal.. Pfew! I'm not much of a cleaner.. Smile
Would it be ok to keep one piece of the crystal, one that really has special meaning to you?

My pics mean the world to me now since so many that I love are gone.

Oh my gosh I wouldn't know which piece to keep Laughing I know who gave me each piece and they are all special in their own way, different memories with each one. It's sort of like us with our birds, if we know for sure they are going to good homes when we sale them then it makes it a little easier to sale one (yea right I haven't ever sold a bird LOL) But oneday I'll do something with the collection but Im not loading it up any more I can tell ya that Rolling Eyes Dana
