Hey Sue,

I have tried using firefox to access this forum, but have not been able to actually sign in. Do you know what's the deal with that?
I haven't use firefox for a while and thought I'd give it another go, but nope, won't let me in. Sad

Hey Bih, I use firefox too.. And it gives me no trouble. Perhaps you could de-install it and re-install it? Or perhaps you could update it?
What version do you have?

Grrrr... I hate computers!!

I just downloaded it not long ago, so I'm assuming it's fairly new.

May be it's just my computer being stupid... guess it's time for a good format of the c drive again!!

It's done.. all formatted.. hehehehehe..

don't worry, it needs formatting anyway.. I managed to pick up some trojan horses awhile back, and have been putting off the formatting as there seems that the trojan horse is not 'deletable'.. I have tried all different ways.. anyway.. I thought i've had enough of it when they disabled my task manager.. I couldn't get into it. so it's time for formatting.. and now it's now, and my computer is running really smoothly again.. now I just have to reinstall firefox again amongsts other programs that went with the nuking of c partition... Smile

thanks Sue. I'll look it up. Smile

Actually I'm wondering, what's the use of having a ghost image?

Yeah, I sort of figure that out, but I'm wondering what's the benefits of copying your harddrive? would you still not have to reinstall everything once you've formatted it? or otherwise wouldn't you still have the trojan horse/virus on your computer if you make a copy of your harddrive before formatting? just curious how it really works...

Well the benefit is that you don't have to install all those programs again! Laughing It's quite some work to reinstall all those programs. At least at my parents I always use this.. My father used to scr*w up his pc a lot.. Laughing

You just take your just installed pc, with virusscanner and all basic stuff on it. Then you make a copy of the harddrive.
If you sc*w up things, you can put that copy back. It saves a lot of time!

Oh I see what you mean now.

what about drivers and all that. That will all be in the ghost right?

but to copy this image, can you just copy on top? or you mean I still need to format it? I still trying to see how you copy things over I guess. Very Happy
