The maximum size for uploading videos on this site is 10MB, so the best thing to do I guess is just upload your video on YouTube, and then post a link of it in your diary or homepage. www.youtube.com |

I wouldn't like to post it in such a public place (yes I know a forum is a public place too but it's a bit less accessible) since I'm in that video too.
Is there a way to shrink it?
I'm good with pictures but I have no experience of processing video files. |

Hmmm do you have windows movie maker? What kind of file is your video? Is it avi?
You can also make your vid smaller with windowsmoviemaker.
I still have to look for some good open source (And free) video editing software.. |

It's a .mov
it opens with quicktime
Isn't win-moviemaker supposed to be distributed with windows?
I don't see it around but maybe I can add it from the windows cd |

Hi Vis vitalis.
You might want to try this program: http://mediacoder.sourceforge......epage=1252
It's free.
It can also make videos smaller if I'm correct. |

Window movie maker only comes with window XP.. so if you don't have that, then you won't have it.
If you have XP... go to 'start', then 'all program', then 'accesories'... it should be on that list somewhere down there... Good luck. |

I found moviemaker!
Yes, I remembered I had deleted the shortcut when I had install windows (yes I use to do such things with shortcuts all the time )
But it does not support .mov files.
Then I downloaded the encoder, which seems to be really good, I hit "transcode" to convert it to another file format (that's what is does, right?) but it seems to slow down and stop at the fifth second of the video.
I don't know what's wrong.... |
