Congratulations ahead of time! Frosty would be cute... I hope the 2 Senegals will look different enough that you can tell them apart when they are both adults!

I wouldn't be set on breeding parrots, it is not as easy as it seems The people who do it successfully are adults with a lot of experience. If you really want to do it, try with Budgies or Cockatiels first.
I don't know about how it is in England but here in the US, there are special laboratories (or your vet can send in a blood or feather sample for you) where they determine sex by dna through the blood or feathers. It is not very expensive if you send it in yourself. Usually the Poicephalus males will have a larger beak and more masculine looking flatter bigger head in comparison to the females. |

You should be very experienced with birds by the time you're an adult ... I don't think I could have been responsible enough as a teenager I first started having my own pets in my mid 20's. |

Aww, c'mon now Tiff.... you have to get that idea out of your head now while you're young, or it will be harder to deal with stuff when you are an adult if you have a low opinion of yourself. Please think about that... you may want to talk to a counselor or find a mentor who will help you view yourself as you should Hope this wasn't too personal, I just wanted to let you know at your age that you can change the way you see yourself. Concentrate on the things that you CAN do well... and the things that make you special and proud of youself. Surely you can think of things. I had to teach MYSELF self esteem and confidence as an adult. Start now. |

Aww... Tiff that's okay. That is very common, you know? Do you use tutors who can help you in your areas of difficulty? That might be good if you do that. We all have different ways of learning - for example, I learn stuff (like my new job) visually and hands on, rather than taking tons of notes and reading it. That would just confuse me. You do have good qualities... and NO ONE is perfect!! I think you're a good person, and are such a good birdy mom for your age. I know you don't believe it, but I honestly liked your picture too! I saw a lovely young lady. Please accept that others do see that, and we are not just saying that, or we wouldn't say anything at all if it were not true. Start thinking about things that you CAN do... things that you DO like about yourself... how things can be worse... Good luck Tiff... I, and I'm sure others here too are here for support |

I'm with Julie! (jletaz). I know I wouldn't have been as good a birdy mum at that age like you are! And you're beautiful hon, don't let anyone tell you otherwise |
