hey Sue, I think by quickreply she's referring to a feature that some forums have, where when you click on a topic, at the bottom of all the posts there is a little form where you can type your reply and post it without having to go to a separate page to do it. I can probably send you an example URL is what I've said doesn't make sense . |

Thanks for explaining that! If this is what she meant.. Well, I have to look into that. Don't know if it's possible?
Thanks again for telling me this! |

I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of enabling it . The forum is based on phpBB2 right? If you go to the administration panel->General Admin->Configuration, in the configuration page there should be a yes/no option for enabling Quick Reply (under the header "User and Basic Forum Settings"). Sorry if you already know this, I just thought I'd tell you in case you didn't, since I happen to know from another board where I'm an admin |

I like the idea of a quick reply. I think it's very handy. The budgie forum that I go to has the quick reply function. It works so much faster when you only want a to type a little reply. |

I didn't know this, koukouvagia.. Thanks so much!
I will look at it.
But I have the problem that I also have the comment option on the homepages & diaries..
I'm afraid I'll ruin those if I set that option..
I'll look into it! |

Koukouvagia, what's the site where you're the admin? Is it another bird site? Just curious |

This is the only bird site I regularly visit!
The other site is just a forum where bored people from my home country (Cyprus) go to kill their boredom, and I don't even visit it that much anymore because I don't have time to be bored ;( |

Hi koukouvagia..
He he he nice to hear that you've made 'fluffies' one of the sites you frequently visit.
Cyprus doesn't sound like a place where 'bored' people come from. I've heard some nice stories about it.
It has a lot of cultural value if I remind correctly? |

Doh, maybe you have a different version, oh well it was worth a shot.
So you know people who've been to Cyprus? I definitely wouldn't call it a boring place, especially in summer . Culturally, I'd say it's almost the exact opposite of Australia! The 'bored' forum is mostly used by teenagers who are bored with school and Cypriot students studying overseas (like me) . |
