PART VI Next, we visited the large flight at the beginning of the ZOO. There were beautiful birds in there, and if you look very close, you can spot a scarlet macaw at the upper right. (Very small) Zazu must have thought this was heaven.. :-)
Iago also looked into this huge flight, trying to spot some Senegal friends. No luck.. :-(
On the photo below you can see Zazu sitting on a play gym with two African grey parrots. The SPPW had brought some play gyms for the parrots visiting the ZOO.. You could leave your parrot there, if you’d wanted to enter the more dangerous residences. (With predator birds or a residence for mistreated bears, that could walk freely there)
Another photo of the play gym.. Now, an amazon parrot had joined the flock..
Iago was also allowed to sit on the gym for a while. He immediately went to the coconut, checking if there was anything to eat in it.. That little stinker!
We hope you enjoyed these photos of the parrot & parakeet day in the ZOO, and hopefully, we’ll see you again? *** Disclaimer & warning PLEASE READ *** Please note that one should be careful to take his or her birds on outdoor excursions.
