I had spotted a blue throat macaw. (ara glaucogularis) It's absolutely my favorite macaw: I think they're just gorgeous and I was stunned by the beauty of this blue throat macaw!
He came together with his family and brother or sister, a scarlet macaw. (ara macao)

Scarlet macaw & blue throat macaw or caninde macaw!

Though I usually am afraid of large macaw beaks, I took the chance and let this gorgeous bird step up onto my arm.
He willingly stepped up.. Boy, he was heavy compared to Iago & Zazu!

Me with the gorgeous blue throated macaw!

When Zazu flew off I made him step up with the 'five step program' that was promoted that day.
